Four locomotives hustle a Barstow, CA to Lubbock, TX manifest as it rounds the curve of "Sleepy Hallow", near the control point of Chalender. This location was given the name "Sleepy Hallow" because of a Santa Fe crew falling asleep and derailing a train on the curve. After that, someone put a station sign saying "Sleepy Hallow". Prior to railroad executives schedule to travel over the line, the sign was removed. Trains Magazine article by Steve Patterson goes into detail about the event.
