The stencil says GP39-2, but you can't fool me, this is one of the finest looking GP30s I've seen in years, decked out in BNSF Railway's best looking color scheme, and handling switching chores on former Lake Superior Terminal & Transfer trackage which was the last bastion for Great Northern painted switchers lettered for LST&T. BNSF 2821 began life as GN 3005 in April 1963.
Photographs where trains and people mix, weather it's street running, plant switching or carrying a unit grain train out of an elevator, it will be put here.
