The Buddy System. Pennsylvania and Southern Railway B1685 and B1674 are long time residents of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Both units spent extensive careers working directly for the US Army before going to PSCC and working the same tracks in the Letterkenny Army Depot and the now civilian areas in the Cumberland Valley Business Park. On the night of Saturday, February 19, 2022, an engineer from the railroad poses on the steps of former USAX now PSCC 1685 (80-ton, GE, 12/1952) with a lantern at sunset while the photographers take advantage of the setting sun and the colorful sky.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
