A special BNSF Railway train, symbolled O-SDGSDG9-22, crosses the Los Penasquitos Lagoon as it approaches the Pacific Ocean on its way from San Diego to Oceanside … and back to San Diego. This train has a pair of 25th Anniversary engines, one on each end – BNSF ES44AC 6017 up front, and ES44AC 5828 on the rear, with 7 cars from the Railway’s business car fleet: Full-length dome/lounge 31 Carl R Ice, dining car 10 Lake Superior, business car 4 Missouri River, sleeping car 67 Trinchera Pass, business car 6 Topeka, business car 63 Glorieta Pass and power car 51 Mt Rainier. (San Diego, California – February 22, 2022)
