It’s the end of the line for the majority of street running for South Shore Line trains in Michigan City. Beginning February 28, 2022, construction will begin. Eventually, the road will be converted to one way, and the tracks off to the side. Buses will replace commuter trains between the Carroll Avenue (Michigan City) and Porter as part of the project to double-track the CSS mainline between Gary and Michigan City.
