| The old Gateway Western trackage thru Missouri has alot of neat stuff to shoot. The problem is the train traffic is light and normally nocturnal for the most part. On Wednesday, 6/02, many problems caused an outbound MVNKC train to be over 12 hours late leaving East St. Louis. That created a rare daylight train west of Mexico on Thursday. I was super glad to grab this shot at Marshall on the KCS Mexico Sub. This neat 1906 built Chicago and Alton Railroad depot was a shot I figured I would never get. After 2 days of messed up railroad with nothing to show for it, the KCS madeup for it on this chase! |
