This weekend, the east-west mainline of Switzerland was completely closed in Mägenwil by planed catenary works for about 52 hours! Many trains were diverted via Brugg and Baden instead of running via Lenzburg-Heitersberg (and vice versa), others were cancelled, there were very many changed timetables and shortened or changed train runs. Train IC 10811 from Brig via Bern to Zürich only (instead of going to Romanshorn) is crossing the 93 meter long bridge over the Reuss river between Brugg AG and Turgi. This is the second oldest railway bridge of Switzerland which is still used, and was opened in 1856 by the Nordostbahn (NOB). The IC 10811, rerouted via Wildegg-Brugg-Baden instead of the Heitersberg line, is pulled by Re 460 028, followed by 9 doubledeck IC2000/IC2020 cars (push-pull train), then as reinforcement 4 standard cars type IV and in the far rear the Re 460 # 038.
