Remarks & Notes |
This loaded grain train has seen the sites at Frierson this morning. Even though Frierson is 8100 feet siding that wasn't enough for them not to have to do a saw-by to meet 2 trains. The grain train would hold back to let an IMYNS in the south end 1st. They then would pull south to let them out the north end. Then back north to clear the south end again so this MLCSH freight could get in next. Clearly a process anything but efficient and smart. When I asked a manager later with the business train, he said that it was a mess up and something they don't do much, bet conductors appreciate that. Here the 2nd meet is going down as the grain train pulls down to the south end again in preparation to finally leave town. They have now been here for over 2.5 hours. |
