A Chicago to Boone land barge freight rolls passes the180 foot long ex-Chicago Northwestern depot/freighthouse that was built in 1894. It was designed in the Classical Revival style with Greek influences. The CN&W once had over 600 employees that worked at this division headquarters. The depot now sits vacant and privately owned.
The train is on the Clinton Sub working towards its "symbol destination" of Boone, but I doubt all 10,000 cars he had go to Boone, so who knows where the train will end up as PSR shenanigans go on. |
