Remarks & Notes |
Some may recognize this photo from March Trains magazine, this was my 1st cover shot!
The Rich Mountain area on the KCS Shreveport Sub is a well known location. The KCS goes up around the Quachita Mountains near the Oklahoma/Arkansas Stateline. Kind of an unusual KCS freight train was this 2nd KCSH that we got. The train is running 1x2 DP'd with the DP power cut in like 6 cars from the rear end. Here the train rolls off Rich Mountain as they approach Mena on the Shreveport Sub. This guy would have work at De Queen in about 50 miles. |
