P&W in Oregon. Not the perhaps expected Portland & Western, which is also in the Genesee & Wyoming portfolio, but Providence & Worcester 4301 (SD70M-2) sits in Eugene, Oregon on the afternoon of Sunday, March 27, 2022. This unit was the subject of extensive documentation during the painting process, which would remove the Florida East Coast Railway colors (where it began its career as FEC 102) and apply that P&W's corporate scheme or brown, orange and white. Shortly after the G&W takeover, the engine was painted into the orange and black scheme, and subsequently transferred off of that property. It is seen at the former Southern Pacific Railroad shops in Eugene, Oregon on the Central Oregon & Pacific Railroad amongst a bevy of other east coast ex-pats, including CORP 4675 (ex-CSX 4675, SD70M), CORP 3497 (SD40-2, née-CN 5141, SD40), CORP 2062 (GP38-3, ex-MMID 302, GP38-3, née-BO 3816, GP38), and P&W 4302 (née-FEC 100, SD70M-2), while Union Pacific 1207 (née-KCCX 788, GP39-2) sits across the way.
