| Diesellocomotive Am 847 # 905 of the WRS (Widmer Rail Services AG) is running light as train 59230 from Renens to Vernier-Meyrin Cargo, on the mainline along Lake Geneva between Crans VD and Céligny. The locomotive was built in 1976 by LEW Hennigsdorf for the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) as V 100 # 863. In 1988 rebuilt with two threeaxle bogies for 1 meter gauge and used in the Harz. 1993 to 1998 owned by the HSB (Harzer Schmalspurbahnen), then sold to AdTranz and built back with 4 axles and standard gauge, now with 1050 kW. After several owners, the WRS bought the locomotive in 2011 and swiss train protection systems were installed. |
