| A Willow Springs, IL to North Bay, CA Z-train charges around the curve of Arrowhead Jct. as it has no issues battling the grade of Goffs Hill. While the Willow Springs to North Bay intermodal service is known to be one of the hottest on the BNSF system, this train is running under the Z7 symbol (with Z9 being the hottest). This due to the train schedule to arrive into North Bay Sunday morning; a day UPS does not get serviced. The main thing keeping the dispatcher moving this train across their territory with some priority is the race against the clock of getting this Needles- Bakersfield crew off their 315 miles run within 12 hours. |
