Montreal's rail hub - The area surrounding Pointe-St-Charles can easily be named Montreal's rail hub, at the intersection of CN's St-Hyacinthe Sub leading to the Victoria bridge to the right, the Montreal Sub to the left leading to points west. Frequented by passenger trains of both VIA and EXO, and CN freights passing in the foreground. On top (literally!) is being built the new REM network, its ramp and raised track are clearly visible to the right, hugging the St-Hyacinthe Sub.
EXO 1206 inbound from Mascouche can be seen here approaching Gare Centrale, pushed by EMD F59H AMT 1349 meeting VIA's 63 to Toronto, with VIA 919 leading and VIA 6413 making up the rear. A pair of GP9 (CN 4140 & CN 7060) as power of the Pointe St-Charles Switcher are idling on the lead track to the harbor.
