Remarks & Notes
A Loram Rail Grinder puts on a light (and noise) show for the residents of Tacoma and Ruston, at the site of the form Asarco Smelter. Tunnel #1, just under 400' long, is the lesser known tunnel in the area, with the much longer and famous Nelson Bennett tunnel burrowing through the hill in the background to the Tacoma Narrows on the other side.

Good Light, Good Scenery, and a Train

Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.

Some trains just have an especially futuristic look to them.
Nocturnal Nuances: Sunset To Sunrise & All Through The Night!

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
