The local out of Bradley, WI switches the remaining customer at Prentice, WI, Biewer Sawmill. The stub that reaches the sawmill spurs is south of the original Soo Line mainline L584 took to reach Prentice. Instead, this stub was once part of the Ashland to Spencer mainline used by the SOO until its purchase of the Milwaukee Road and subsequent routing of traffic up the Valley line through Wausau to Bradley. After the traffic was moved the Soo Line route was abandoned between Prentice and Medford. The north end of that abandonment can be seen in the form of the red board blocking the track in the foreground. After 20+ years of CN operating this territory by the end of the month the sale to Watco would be complete and this track part of the new Fox River & Lake Superior.
