Remarks & Notes
It's May 15, 1962, and train number 53, the southbound City of Miami, is at the Atlantic Coast Line depot in Tifton, Georgia, led by Central of Georgia E8 #812, in Illinois Central colors. Having departed Chicago a little less than 24 hours ago, passengers will soon see sunrise as they pass through Waycross and roll into Jacksonville, Florida, where they'll utilize Florida East Coast's mainline for the final leg of the journey to Miami. In reality: It is 60 years later, May 15, 2022, and a former Iowa Pacific (Burlington) E-8 has made its way to Georgia for use on the Cater Parrott Railnet. It just so happens to be parked temporarily at a realistic location for a scene that used to happen every third-day, when travelers used streamliners to cross the country. I made authentic numberboards and used a CG magnet from my collection to create the scene.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
