As the gloomy red evening sky glows over ahead, NS 73Z (Kingston,TN-Memphis,TN/BNSF) is waiting at the crew change point at East-End in Chattanooga, TN. I don't know if it's the fact that the railroad is still dealing with a crew shortage, or Norfolk Southern is treating the Tennessee Valley Authority coal buckets as the lowest of the low on the priority spectrum, but this TVA coal bucket has slowly made it way east to the TVA Kingston Fossil Plant on the Clinch River in northeast Tennessee from the BNSF in Memphis, TN. Now we see this train a week later slowly making it's way back west. What been a real treat is the hodgepodge of power that has been assigned to this train. BNSF NÂș 5828 one of the ten of the 25th Anniversary locomotive has been working it's way through the system. Also sister unit BNSF 6163 is on the other NS 73Z slowly making is way west as well.
