In 1950, the Talbot company delivered the diesel railcar of type 'Eifel‘, gauge 1,000 mm, to the Euskirchen district railways. Since 1999, the railcar belongs to the vehicle stock of the Selfkantbahn, where it was given the designation T 102. Train 3115 passes the Gelindchen stop on the way to Geilenkirchen-Gillrath.
Geilenkirchen is also well known for being the NATO airbase for Airborne Early Warning & Control Force aircraft.
