Making one last lap. Nevada County Narrow Gauge Locomotive #5 "Tahoe", an oil-burning, 2-6-0 dating to 1875, completes her last lap on the Nevada State Railroad Museum's dual-gauge loop, during the July, 2022 "Great Western Steam-Up" event. She is seen here approaching the switch, where she'll stop and eventually back onto the siding at Wabuska Station. She is manned by a crew of folks who traveled to Nevada from the NCNG Museum in Nevada City, CA. My biggest regret with this engine is that I did not get a chance to photograph her with a train. Each time I saw her running, she was a light locomotive.
