On August 9, 2022, it was 175 years to the day since the first Swiss railroad began operations in 1847. The Schweizerische Nord Bahn (Swiss Northern Railway SNB) ran on the 23 kilometers between Baden and Zurich and is popularly known as the "Spanish Brötli Railway". For the event in the repair center Zürich Altstetten, the locomotive Ae 4/4 # 251 (Ae 415 # 251) of the BLS Stiftung from Burgdorf was invited and can be seen on the transfer run in Turgi. The locomotive, built in 1944 by SLM and BBC for the Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon Bahn (BLS) was then the world's first high-performance locomotive without running axles for use in express train service. It served as the model for the four-axle bogie locomotive that became established throughout Europe after World War II.
