Remarks & Notes |
After dropping off a cut of empty rock hoppers at CSX Kaley Yard, Conrad Yelvington #2112 heads back to their plant to tie down for the day. In the background are engines 292 and 224. 292 is an Alco RS1 which is used as backup power in case 2112 is out of service. It was built in 1947 for the Washington Terminal Company in DC and also served the Chattahoochee Industrial Railroad in Georga before it was acquired by Conrad Yelvington. 224 is an Alco S2 which was built in 1949 for the Chesapeake and Ohio and used on the B&O until its acquisition by CYXX. |
