Remarks & Notes |
Brand new cogwheel railcar Bhe 2/2 # 41 of the Pilatus-Bahnen, the world's steepest rack railway with up to 48.0 %, running down from Pilatus Kulm to Alpnachstad as train CC 22. The Pilatus-Bahnen ordered 8 of this railcars from StadlerRail and Calag Langenthal (carbody), two are delivered yet. They have automatic couplers and they will run in pairs of two in multiple control from next year. Note that the rails, rack and the fastening of the superstructure with steel anchors are still original from the construction of the railroad in 1887/88. The rails have rolling marks of the Stumm brothers from Neunkirchen/Saar/Germany with the year 1887. |
