Remarks & Notes |
Preserved. The former Northern Pacific Railway station in Missoula, Montana is a wonderfully preserved example of simplified Renaissance Revival architecture designed by Reed and Stem. From its completion in 1901 until the discontinuance of the North Coast Hiawatha by Amtrak in 1979, it served the passengers of the northwest. Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, today it serves as a commercial space that adjoins the BNSF/Montana Rail Link yard. |
