On the morning of August 26th, 2022, the CSX/Berkshire & Eastern Railroad (soon-to-be formerly Pan Am Railways) "PL-Extra", with GE B40-8 5943 leading, is seen coasting south past Seymour station on Metro-North Railroad's Waterbury Branch. The train was on its way to service Kerite Company, the railroad's only customer on the branch, located on the siding adjacent to the main in this photo. The crew also retrieved Metro-North MoW hopper "MNCW 391", which was donated to the Railroad Museum of New England almost 2 years ago. Kerite is usually only serviced one to two times annually, making freight trains on the upper Waterbury Branch a unique sight.
