Not Stopping In Yonkers. The normally nocturnal CSX M701-01 (Selkirk, NY-Oak Point, Bronx, NY) had been parked and later recrewed in Beacon, New York on Friday, September 2, 2022. It was not until after 1300 that it made its way through the Yonkers, New York with CSXT 466 Leading (AC44CW), seen with the 1912 former New York Central Station and the lighthouse looking 1930 North Yonkers/Alexander Street Pumping Station Tower in the background. These tracks are shared with Metro-North and Amtrak (with Canadian Pacific retaining trackage rights that have not been utilized for over a decade), but rarely do any of the passenger commuters see freight trains pass by during their travels.
