Remarks & Notes
The engine is a former Santa Fe GP7u, ATSF #2027. She became SCRF in a classy dark blue scheme with the outline of the Palmetto State as a logo. She had been painted during RailTex ownership of the railroad and survived the RailAmerica era without getting repainted. Then Genesee and Wyoming came along and she was repainted into their corporate scheme and given a new number, #1603. Interestingly, she was firsst given Atlantic & Western lettering while on the South Carolina Central as seen in this photograph. Then they changed the logo to South Carolina Central. Some time after that, she was sent to a sister GWI road... the Atlantic & Western.
