Call Them Cabeese? The Red Caboose Motel & Restaurant in Ronks, Pennsylvania is a great place to stay when visiting the Strasburg Rail Road. With 38 Cabooses painted in a variety of vintage railroad paint schemes from across the United States from Maine Central in the northeast to AT&SF in the southwest and even Alaska Railroad, many fallen flags and a few current railroads are recognized. For "land lubbers", there are also rooms in a ground based edifice. Just out of view to the right is a platform and gazebo to view the steam engines of a bygone era that attract visitors to the Pennsylvania Dutch Country area.
Crazy pool power consists, colorful gatherings of locomotives at a diesel service area, or a mixture of colorful locomotives in storage lines. A minimum of four different paint schemes required.
