| Central In New Jersey. During the annual United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey night photo shoot, New York Central E8 4083 was posed next to the Budd built Pullman Observation/Sleeper "Hickory Creek". The E8 is painted in an experimental "Century Green" paint scheme that was not chosen by the NYC management at the time but has become extremely popular with preservationists. The "Hickory Creek" was original part of the 20th Century Limited consists and today can be seen running regularly on the Hudson Line with Empire Service trains, the Amtrak National Network and participates in charters as well. A sliver of the moon makes an appearance as volunteers pose as crew and an on board passenger. |
