Two CSX motors and their crew get a train ready to go in Cayce, SC. The lead unit was built as Conrail SD50 6711 in 1983, to CSXT 8648. CSX derated the locomotive to 3000 horsepower, gave it a SD50-2 designation and renumbered ut to 2479.
The wording on the sign was not entirely clear, but the road was indeed closed at the grade crossing permanently.
