The West Chester Railroad recently repainted 2 engines, and both took part in a small night photo session in the yard at West Chester, PA. The engine on the left is an EMD GP9, and the other is a former B&O ALCO S2 switcher. The GP9 is operational, but the S2 is just a cosmetic restoration. Thanks to the volunteer crew of the WCRR for hanging around and helping with a successful night session. Thanks to Michael Burhhardt, Steve Barry, John Gabriel and John Regan for the lighting.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
