For a few years, a pair of F's roamed Central Georgia once again, these belonging to the Georgia Southwestern. Part of their trackage included rights out of Columbus over NS to the "R-Line", with their portion beginning at the existing Florida Rock facility as far north as Allie. In 2005, they tried to drum up business here, but with the exception of some regular Georgia-Pacific traffic for Durand, it failed. The line was abandoned, but not before one last hurrah with the passenger train consist, a "Farewell To The R-Line". Soon after, GSWR went GWI and the rails, along with the F's, were sent packing.
