After waiting at the end of the double track main in Ooltewah, TN the loaded coal bucket NS 732 (Memphis,TN/BNSF-Juliette,GA) has knocked down the absolute signal at Apison, TN (MP-19.4) and is making the charge at the bottom of Howardsville Mountain. The loaded train is heading for Georgia Power Plant Scherer just ahead of the arctic cold weather that was going to make a dip into the southeast region the following day in mid-November. Fall in the Southeast is typically mid, but this particular year fall came in a little cooler than normal with average high lingering in the mid to lower 40s, and the lows in the mid 20s. The customer that receives power from plant Scherer has something to be thankful for especially in the coming cold nights ahead.
