Remarks & Notes |
About 7:30am on a cold Super Bowl Sunday morning, a westbound U705 broke a couple rails east and west of Jesup on the CN Dubuque Sub. The signal maintainer came out and found a couple 2 inch breaks. This shut down the Dubuque Sub until repairs could be made to the west one. Due to the location of the breaks, a rail had to be cut in at both locations. The crew is about done now with the east one as a U706 works around the crew via the siding. The rail was changed out in less than a hour, and by 12:30 pm the mainline was restored to normal.
