The tiny locomotive Ge 2/2 # 161 of the Rhaetian Railway, called "Asnin" (donkey) is one of the oldest operational electric locomotives in Switzerland. The locomotive was built in 1911 by SIG and Alioth for the then independent Bernina Railway, mainly as trailing locomotive on heavier trains on the 7.0 % grades of the Bernina line. Nowadays, the best kept "Asnin" is still used for shunting services in Poschiavo.
