| Amtrak train P942 rolls past South Schenectady Yard as CSX local L020 waits in the background. This train is the result of the shutdown of Amtrak's Hudson Line between Rensselaer and West Albany. The line was shut down due to the threat of the Central Warehouse collapsing in downtown Albany which sits just feet from the Hudson Line. The train is a combination requal/equipment move as the extra set of equipment will be used to start "Empire Service" trains out of Schenectady instead of Rensselaer. The CSX Selkirk Sub is normally freight only so this was quite the sight. |
