Remarks & Notes
A year after the fire in Lytton, understandably everyone is a little on edge with the dozens of fires in the Cascades mountains on both sides of the border. Canadian National has a fire train known as Poseidon, with specially painted and reporting marked tank cars CNFD 100001-100005. The bulkhead flatcar between the two tanks carries the pumps and retardant additives. The train is based in Kamloops and with a bit of dumb luck we got to see a trackmobile at track speed, they're very noisy in rock sheds.
