Fall In the Gorge. Reading and Northern Railroad T-1 RBMN 2102 (4-8-4, née-Reading Railroad 2102) was the leader during the "Fall Foliage Excursion" on Saturday, October 29, 2022. After experiencing an unexpected mechanical problem on during the October 8, 2022 trip, repairs were made in order to restore this unit to operating condition. This scene includes 2 of the R&N's projects of recent years, the restoration of RBMN 2102 to active service (2022) and the Lehigh River Bridge at Nesquehoning Junction, which facilitates not only the frequent passenger service movements, but also the 34,000 carloads of freight (2020 number from RBMN) across its system. There is still some nice color in the Gorge to accent the train as it turns on the wye to return to Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania and prepare for the afternoon trip back to Outer Station in Reading, Pennsylvania.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
