The Gods of steam certainly smiled down upon Reading & Northern on Saturday, October 29 as literally perfect weather surrounded the Reading to Jim Thorpe excursion. 2102, looking almost exactly as she did with sister T-1s during the Reading Rail Ramble days of the late 50s, early 60s, is rolling downgrade here at Nesquehoning as the railroad approaches the Lehigh River valley. Open window coaches, coal smoke, jointed rail and the full-throated sound of big-time steam power - what's not to like about Reading and Northern? It was worth coming a thousand miles just to see this.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
