Remarks & Notes
The Boxes Returned. Life as we knew it came to an abrupt halt as other priorities were put aside and all eyes turned to the remaining operable pair of NJ Transit EMD F40PH-2CATs. Gone but not forgotten, they were off of the active passenger rotation for quite a while before re-emerging in work service. They spent a few days paired up, making a select number of NJT trains look like fan trips. Once declared "fit for service" they were separated and still operate in disco stripes today. One the night of November 9, 2020, NJTR 4120 and 4119 have arrived at NJ Transit's Suffern Yard and are parked as a Port Jervis train passes in the foreground.
