The ORIENTAL DESERT EXPRESS, a tourist train from Oujda to Bouarfa (305 kilometers), running through the east Morocco desert south of Ain Beni Mathar. The train is running irregularly since about 2006, two to three times a year, and is intended to run up to 10 times in 2023, perhaps. The diesellocomotives DH # 421 and # 430 of the ONCF were built in 2014 by TZV Gredelj in Zagreb/Croatia, with remanufactured EMD prime movers of the american NRE (National Railway Equipment Co.).
