During 1962 ten Alco RS36's replaced the Nickel Plate's ten PA's. Alco 874 and EMD 480 accelerate out of LaSalle Station in July 1964, bound for Buffalo with #8 The New Yorker. Service continued beyond Buffalo to New York via the Erie-Lackawanna. Photo by Frank Ward, from my collection.
