Remarks & Notes
Cogwheel railcars Bhe 2/2 # 43 and # 41 of the Pilatus Bahn in multiple control are running down as train CC 22 below Pilatus Kulm to Alpnachstad. This was the very first day, that two of the new railcars were running in multiple control in timetabled service. The Pilatus Bahn is the world's steepest cogwheel railway with up to 48 % using the unique Locher system. In the background is the Esel mountain (2118 m a.s.l.), part of the Pilatus massif. There is no particular peak which is called Pilatus, but the Pilatus massif with several peaks.
