CSX "Operation Lifesaver, 50th Anniversary" unit #4568 flies past the long out of service B&O Interlocking Tower at Walkerton, Indiana. Once a busy junction that saw the likes of the B&O, NYC and NKP, only CSX is the major player here. The former NKP in this location is operated by the Elkhart and Western, but sees little use this far north. The bright paint on the 4568 contrasts nicely with the dark, weathered brick of the historic building that has somehow evaded demolition after all these years.
