On a rainy Sunday night in West Haven, three C40-8s and an SD40-2 are in charge of Providence & Worcester train CHFP loaded with aggregate, which is bound for interchange with the New York & Atlantic Railway in Queens, NY. A passenger waiting for the 8:44 train to Grand Central Terminal takes in the sights and sounds of the passing freight.
For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
