With Union Pacific LJP44 “dirt train” local from Salt Lake City late this particular morning, still crossing the grade over Soldier Summit, the LJP45 local out of Helper had some time to kill before the interchange was made. Trainmaster Kirt Jensen decided to have the Helper crew go up Price River Canyon and fetch a repaired bad ordered car from the house track at Kyune and bring it back to Helper Yard. On February 8, 2005, LJP45 rolls eastbound at West Helper, led by Rio Grande SD40T-2 No. 5390, and passes an old discarded truck as it approaches the yard.
