With 273 units, the Re 4/4 II locomotives formed the largest locomotive series ever procured by SBB. They were delivered between 1964 and 1985. The locomotive # 11141 was taken over by the SBB on October 18, 1967. It was built in the 1st series of the Re 4/4 II by the companies BBC, SLM and SAAS. Designed as a universal locomotive, it was in service in front of passenger and freight trains on the entire standard gauge network of Switzerland. After an accident in Muttenz in 1973, it was rebuilt as a Swiss Express locomotive. It received the familiar orange-gray paint scheme and automatic couplers. These couplers were removed again in 1986. With the divisionalization of SBB in 1999, it was assigned to SBB Passenger Traffic. Locomotive # 11141 was temporarily parked as a heating locomotive in Biel. Surprisingly, the locomotive was put back into service on 10.08.2009 after an overhaul including repainting in red. With the day december 18th, 2022, the locomotive was taken over by the association Depot und Schienenfahrzeuge Koblenz (DSF). Here she is standing in front of the train in Zürich main station to Thalwil-Pfäffikon SZ-Rapperswil-Bauma-Winterthur-Bülach to Koblenz.
