A loaded grain train crest the 7,200' summit of the Palmer Divide on a a coal winter evening. With two GE motors in the lead, and four more on the rear, they'll try to control this 14,284 ton train down the 1.7% grade towards Colorado Springs. Palmer Lake in the background is frozen over; providing the locals with ice skating and ice fishing activities.
