Remarks & Notes
Red And Retro. On Friday, December 23, 2022, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA NYCT Subway/ New York Transit Museum Holiday Train was transferred from East 180 Street Yard in the Bronx, New York to 207 Street Yard in New York, New York. The train operated for 4 Sundays in service allowing the public to ride for the regular fare. The "Tartar Red” NYCT 9017 (R-33) is a distinctive presence on a line that has seen stainless steel almost exclusively in the past 4 decades. The train has just exited the tunnel under Ft. George Hill to the Dyckman Street Station, notably not changing much in grade though the land around it drops substantially. Holiday Train/Train Of Many Colors: 9069-9068 Kale Green “Green Machines” (R-33) 9010-9011 Blue-And-Silver “Platinum Mist” (R-33) 9308-9307 “Robin's Egg” (R-33WFS) 9586-9587 “Gunn Red” Redbirds (R-36WF) 9016-9017 "Tartar Red” (R-33)
