| California Western RS12 #56 is Baldwin's version of a light roadswitcher (created from a switcher). This one was traded to Travel Town in 1992 in exchange for two Hawaiian steam engines that went to Hawaii to work on the Sugar Cane Train (although I don't believe they were ever restored to service). While CWR 56 arrived serviceable, without much track to run on, she doesn't really go anywhere these days. The volunteers still lovingly tend to her and start her up on occasion to keep her going. |
